Alamance County Emergency Medical Service is a department that responds to more than 25,000 calls a year. The department has four 24-hour shifts. It is assisted by county and city fire departments on medical calls and motor vehicle accidents. The department has a fleet of ambulances that are equipped with equipment, such as oxygen cylinders and blood pressure checking machines. Alamance County Emergency Medical Service is a part of Alamance County Government in the state of North Carolina.
