I became a nurse for the same reason many of us do: I love helping people. I started my nursing career in the ER, and while I loved the fast pace, I really longed to connect more deeply with my patients, follow their progress and monitor their outcomes. \n So, I returned to school for my nurse practitioner degree. Practicing family medicine allows me to care for my patients over many years - something I consider a great privilege. I've also been honored to get to know and care for multiple members of the same family. \n I truly care about my patients - and not just their health outcomes. I care about them as individuals. I want all my patients to feel confident in their healthcare decisions, and I take the time to work with them - as a team - to achieve their goals. \n I am married and have three young children. Much of my free time is spent with them at soccer and baseball games, dance practice, gymnastics and anything else they decide to pursue. My hobbies include trying new Charlotte restaurants and breweries, cheering on Charlotte FC, watching musical theater, singing (badly) and dancing to children's songs with my kids.
