Jessica Valceus, MD
My mother was a CNA (certified nursing assistant), and as a child I sometimes had the opportunity to meet her patients. They were always so grateful to her and would praise her for all the support she provided. I was proud of how they admired my mom, and her skill and compassion. I wanted to be able to provide the same. \n My patients often tell me they appreciate my ability to listen. Really listening is truly important in all aspects of life, but it's especially so in healthcare. As a provider, I need to be able to listen to patients and parents in order to understand their concerns and help them achieve optimal health. They know themselves - or their child - best. \n In my spare time, I enjoy lifting weights and learning, through reading and real-world experience, about a wide range of topics.
