Weaver Street Market is a worker- and consumer-owned cooperative that deals in natural and organic food. It also operates a restaurant, Panzanella, which hosts regular fundraising events for local nonprofit organizations. Panzanella serves gourmet pizzas, grilled sandwiches, homemade pastas and biscotti, plum mascarpone crostata and martinis. Weaver Street Market recycles more than 15 different waste streams, such as corrugated and waxed cardboards, metal cans, plastic bottles, glass, paper, packing peanuts, plastic bags, small wooden packing crates, cooking oil and food waste for compost. Weaver Street Market also provides olives, peppers, capers, spreads, roasted tomatoes and chocolates. In addition, it offers a variety of snacks, including granola, chips, soups, bagels, cereals, snack bars, sodas, juices and cookies. Weaver Street Market maintains various locations in North Carolina, including Carrboro and Chapel Hill.
