In 1962, Woodie Enterprises, Inc. began as a single service station owned by Ernest Woodie located on Independence Blvd. at Albemarle Road. This location was moved in 1971 to the Midtown area and renamed Charlottetown Exxon. From this one store operation it has grown under the leadership of Mr. Woodie's two sons.
