Jesuit High School, located in Portland, Ore., was founded in 1956 by the Society of Jesus that is part of a more than 400-year-old Jesuit educational tradition. It is a nonprofit, coeducational college preparatory school and offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school offers various programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. It also offers communication arts, counseling and guidance, consumer science, foreign languages, and industrial art and music programs. Jesuit High School additionally provides technology and computer education, reading, media studies, instructional support, and special and health education programs.
