Founded in 1927, Central Catholic High School offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades nine through 12. The school building has classrooms, science labs, library, cafeteria and administrative offices. Central Catholic offers enrollment courses in creative writing, speech and debate, calculus, C++, chemistry, biology, intermediate Spanish, American history and art. Its library includes more than 13,000 volumes, computerized access to over 50 periodicals, and a computerized catalog of print and nonprint materials. The school s extracurricular activities include campus ministry, chess club, filmmaker s society, intramural sports, marching band, leadership and drama clubs, and the National Honor Society. Central Catholic High School has a parent-teacher organization to support the work of the school system, and is located in Pittsburgh.
