Perelman Jewish Day School was founded in 1956 as Solomon Schechter Day School of Philadelphia. The school offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in grades kindergarten through eight. It teaches various subjects, including English, Hebrew, language arts, mathematics, social science, social studies, health education and religious studies. It also offers classes in music, arts and crafts, computer science, physical education and Israel folk dance.
