The Phebe Anna Thorne School was established over 50 years ago as an interactive field nursery for the child development specialists of Bryn Mawr College. The school is known for its fundamental focus on play, and works to foster a safe, child-centered environment where students form the emotional intelligence and social skills necessary to understand and deal with their own and others’ behavior. The school provides a place for all types of children to learn and grow, including many with language delays and neurological differences. Some programs include for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, as well as a camp program. Check the main site for details on services or programs, or call to speak with an associate.
