Pennsylvania State Education Association
The Pennsylvania State Education Association is the state affiliate of the National Education Association and one of largest education employee organizations in Pennsylvania. It provides members with economic advocacy, certification support, professional legal services, a personal legal program, liability protection, onsite advocacy, professional and public advocacy, student teacher advocacy, and access to various insurance products. PSEA is comprised of teachers, educational support personnel, counselors, administrators, curriculum specialists, librarians, support personnel, health care workers, school dental hygienists, school nurses, school psychologists, school social workers, vocational-technical instructors, community college and junior college facilities, students and retirees. The organization is headquartered in Harrisburg, Pa., and operates regional offices throughout the state. The organization was founded in 1852 as the Pennsylvania State Teachers Association.
