American Association for Cancer Research, founded in 1907, is a nonprofit organization offering services to cancer patients in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. It offers assistance in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. It is a scientific organization providing cancer research to various scientists, hospitals and cancer-related organizations. It provides training opportunities to cancer researchers and assists in increasing public understanding of cancer. It publishes five scientific journals, including Cancer Research; Clinical Cancer Research; Molecular Cancer Therapeutics; Molecular Cancer Research; and Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention.
