Established in 1864, The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia is a school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. It has more than 20 full-time faculty members and provides religious education to more than 500 students every year. It offers various degree programs, such as master of divinity, master of sacred theology, doctor of theology and doctor of ministry. It provides various types of financial aid, such as scholarships, grants, loan programs and work study. It has a library that houses a collection of more than 200,000 volumes and provides access to ownership and cataloging data for over 53 million titles held by nearly 36,000 participating institutions worldwide. The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and the Middle States Association.
