In 1982, Charlie Golson opened the doors of his Hilton Head Island restaurant based on cuisine of the ”L’etoile Verte,” a small café he frequented while living in Paris. The restaurant has grown over the years but the “Green Star” maintains the same basis by offering French-American Cuisine cooked with the finest ingredients of the lowcountry all made possible by a menu that is hand written daily. Our wine list offers over six hundred selections, and has been awarded the “Best of Award” by Wine Spectator. As we have reached our 40th year serving the Hilton Head community, we have updated our name to reflect our focus on fresh seafood. We are now listed as Charlie's Coastal Bistro.
