Established in 2013 The Orange Spot is a collaboration of passion for quality beverages and the dream of service through coffee. The idea began in Thailand where Julie fell in love with Cha Yen, a traditional Thai sweet and creamy tea. Because of its color, she fondly referred to the treat as her "orange spot". Providing an "orange spot" to anyone who walked in the doors was the basis of this dream and thus began Julie's coffee journey. Having worked in both corporate and local coffee shops, she took in the good practices, learned from the mistakes and considered each interaction an opportunity to develop the idea of "The Orange Spot". Laura, who treated herself to weekly lattes, came into the picture as a regular customer of the local shop Julie managed. She had worked at Starbucks and was a manager at a local bed and breakfast where she learned the ups and downs of being "in charge". Julie and Laura made a quick connection forging a friendship turned business partnership bringing The Orange Spot to fruition.
