Established in 1968, Dawn of Hope is a nonprofit agency that offers individualized services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in northeast Tennessee. It offers a range of developmental, vocational, health, support and residential services. The agency s vocational services program provides opportunities in employment for persons with disabilities. It also offers supported living and family-based residential services. Dawn of Hope offers a full-service, on-site medical clinic. Its medical clinic provides health-related education and hosts nursing classes. The agency s transportation division maintains a fleet of more than 50 vehicles that includes over 30 vans. Additionally, it receives funding through contracts with the Division of Mental Retardation Services and other government organizations. It is located in Johnson City, Tenn.
