APEX Supply Company began during the struggling era of the Depression. Joe Lerer founded Apex in Dallas in 1933. He separated cast iron tubs and started a small side-business with used tubs, lavatories and reconditioned water heaters. Lerer listed himself in the telephone book as Apex Supply in order to be first under the A's in the plumbing section. Apex Supply Company offers various lines of plumbing supplies, kitchen and bath fixtures and accessories.
