Formed in 1961, the Crowley Police Department works to provide safety and security and protect lives and property through crime prevention and law enforcement. It has an operational bureau that operates uniformed services and criminal investigation divisions. The department is comprised of more than 30 sworn, nonsworn and reserve officers. The Crowley Police Department conducts various neighborhood and crime watch programs, well as hosts a citizen police academy.
