History
After graduating from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997, Dr. Bickert began his career in the Navy as a commissioned officer. His Naval career started with a General Surgery Internship at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Virginia. The Navy stationed him with the Marine Corp Base, Kaneohe, Hawaii with the heavy Marine helicopter squadron HMH-463. His final duty assignment was with a fixed-wing Navy weapons test squadron in Point Mugu, California. He formed a team with the Otolaryngologists in San Diego to develop telemedicine treatment for the local base clinic for ENT issues. After an Honorable Discharge as a Lt Commander, he entered residency with the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. His ENT-Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training occurred in Joplin, Missouri, at Freemen Health System, McIntire ENT Center, as well as the Advanced Facial Aesthetic and Laser Center. Residency was completed in June 2006.
