History
Premier accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, SIRE is one of only two such centers in the greater Houston area. SIRE also has four of the nearly 30 PATH International master instructors on staff. SIRE receives high ratings from clients as well as outside reviewers. SIRE was founded in the Houston area in 1983. A generous donation in 1995 of a seven-acre site in Hockley gave SIRE a permanent home with a covered arena. In 2000, SIRE and Houston's Therapeutic Equestrian Center, located in Spring, Texas, merged. This site encompasses 37 acres also with covered arenas. Our newest location, in a facility expressly designed for therapeutic riding, comes through a partnership sealed this year with the State of Texas and is located at the Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC) in Fort Bend County, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.
