History
We have always been about building cooperation, collaboration, and community across Tarrant County. Started in 1953, as the Fort Worth Council of Churches (FWCC), was established to bring congregations from across the Fort Worth community together to worship, dialogue, and serve the community together. We work to address educational inequity, provide supportive relationship to students and families in areas with crumbling infrastructure. In 1982, we became Tarrant Area Community of Churches, widening our scope to include congregations across the Tarrant County area. Today, as Tarrant Churches Together, we continue our focus on building relationships that bridge divisions, foster collaboration, and work to help change lives through initiatives that continue to address educational inequity, homelessness, and other issues that diminish lives.
