While the first Abi Azteca Grill opened in Arlington in 1986, the roots of this restaurant began at home, where Abi Valle would cook native Salvadoran food for her community. The menu at this small group of restaurants holds true to those roots, offering Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine as either take-out or for dining inside the dimly lit dining room. Choices include soups, tostadas, fajitas, chimichangas, burritos, tacos and pupusas. There is also a long bar for those desiring a beer or cocktail. Abi's is family-run by Abi and her husband Tony Lara.
