The first generation of automated behavioral testing relied on imprecise photobeams to detect large movements. Second-generation video tracking improved resolution and detection, but reduced the subject to a single point in space and lacked the ability to differentiate individual behaviors. Clever Sys. software introduces the third generation of behavioral testing, with video tracking so refined that it detects not only animal motion, but individual behaviors. Our software tracks not only the body of the animal, but also the head, tail, and individual limbs.
