The Penrod Company is a diversified distribution company headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va., with satellite offices throughout the world. The company imports and exports wood components used in the hardwood plywood and furniture industries. Penrod also imports various metal products, principally residential door hinges and fasteners for use in the North American construction industry. Through its Canadian subsidiary, Foresbec, the company distributes hardwood lumber and lumber products to markets in Europe, North America and Asia. Penrod is also affiliated with Noblebois, SAS. Noblebois, SAS located in France, distributes sliced veneer, hardwood lumber, components for the wine barrel industry and rotary veneer products in France and other western European countries. The Penrod Company employs nearly 60 people.
