It's in the P-I. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer provides news and information to residents of Seattle, the state of Washington and the northwest United States. It has a daily circulation of more than 156,000 and produces a combined Sunday paper with the Seattle Times. The newspaper was founded in 1863 and is the oldest morning newspaper in the state of Washington. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper is part of The Hearst Corp., one of the world's larger diversified communications companies, with interests in newspaper, magazine, book and business publishing; television and radio broadcasting; cable network programming; newspaper features distribution; television production and distribution; and interactive media activities. P-I s press, pre-press, advertising, circulation and marketing functions have been handled since 1983 by The Seattle Times Company, acting as the Seattle Newspaper Agency, in a Joint Operating Agreement under the provisions of the federal Newspaper Preservation Act.
