Established in 1968, Youth Eastside Services is a nonprofit organization that serves children and families with emotional distress, substance abuse and violence. With a location in Bellevue, Wash., the organization also helps to deal with emotional issues, dating violence, gang activity, and drug, alcohol and sexual abuse. It provides substance abuse education and school-based violence prevention programs. Youth Eastside Services offers individual and family counseling and community and family support services. The organization receives funds through individuals, businesses, foundations and public agencies. Its community partners include the Bellevue School District, United Way of King County, Harborview Children's Response Center and Renton Area Youth Services. Youth Eastside Services provides mentoring and other school-based programs for students between the ages of 6 and 18.
