Founded in 1957, the Junior Achievement of Arizona is a nonprofit organization that offers learning opportunities to more than 83,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The organization provides classes for economics and finances. It offers several after-school programs. The organization s JA BizTown program, conducts several activities, including working in a bank, television station and retail store, as well as writing checks. The Junior Achievement of Arizona also teaches concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics. The organization s JA Finance Park program, educates students about creating and implementing personal budgets. In addition, it provides various scholarships. The organization is a part of JA Worldwide, which offers educational opportunities to students about work force readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
