Saticoy Lemon Association is a nonprofit agricultural cooperative founded in 1933. The company is owned by its lemon-growing members. The marketing of the member s fruit is handled through the company s affiliation with Sunkist Growers. Saticoy Lemon provides year-round supply of lemons for distribution both domestically and abroad. Through mergers with Fillmore Lemon Association and Briggs Association, Saticoy Fruit Exchange was formed in 1986 to represent Saticoy Lemon in Sunkist. The Saticoy Lemon Association has evolved into one of the largest lemon cooperatives in the world. Its acreage produces 11 million cartons of lemons annually. The lemons are processed through four plants located in Ventura, Calif. Also, the association has packing and shipping capability in the San Joaquin Valley. Saticoy Lemon Association is headquartered in Santa Paula, Calif., and also has a facility in Ventura.
