For more than 35 years, the local branch has been serving those in need of a hot meal (Meal Share), groceries (Community Food Pantry), utility, eviction and rent assistance, childcare (Latchkey with Wyandotte Schools) and/or spiritual guidance. During the summer months, it runs a day camp. Seasonal programs also include the Christmas Assistance Program supported by the bell-ringers who collect money in the iconic red kettle, gifts collected at Southland Mall through the JCPenney Angel Giving Tree and donations of food. Visitations are also made to area nursing homes for the holidays. Donations are accepted online.
